Happy New Year! As we enter 2019, The Center for Learner Equity is looking forward to continuing our mission-driven work with a renewed sense of urgency and commitment. Ensuring students with disabilities can thrive in charter schools that are prepared to help them succeed takes a village and requires momentum, work we could not do without the support of our partners and allies. Energized by our accomplishments from 2018, we will continue to develop tools and resources, build and leverage coalitions, and advocate at the programmatic and policy levels for equity for all students.

Jan 9. Deadline to apply for Relay’s Special Education Leadership Academy. Jan 29 – Feb 2. The Council for Excep

tional Children’s (CEC) 2019 Convention & Expo is a premier special education event that will feature over 400 sessions on topics of special interest to charter schools.

Feb 2019. The Center for Learner Equity and the Los Angeles Unified School District will co-host the Collaborative Network – a convening of charter support organizations (CSO) and partners from across the country in – Los Angeles.
