The Center for Learner Equity commented on the “Proposed Priorities, Requirements, Definitions, and Selection Criteria” for multiple grants through the Charter School Program, providing support of the proposed changes set forth by the Department of Education. The comments were featured in K-12 Dive‘s “Proposed Ed Dept. rules are ‘sneak attack’ on charter schools opponents say” on April 25th. CLE detailed how it supports the Department of Education’s suggested guidelines to create transparency to charter school program grantees that choose to contract with a for-profit management organization.
